This policy explains what information Etournal collects, why, and what happens to it — in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us. The short version: we collect what the service needs to run, we don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising or tracking.

1. What we collect

  • Account information — your email address, username, and password (the password is stored only in securely hashed form; we never see it in plain text).
  • Profile details you choose to add — such as a display name or answers to optional questions about how you play. These are optional and editable.
  • Your game content — the worlds, campaigns, characters, notes, images, and other material you create or upload.
  • Service logs — routine technical records (such as IP address and request timestamps) generated by operating and securing the service.

2. What we use it for

To run Etournal: sign you in, store and display your content to you and the people you share it with, send transactional email (confirmation and password-reset links), keep the service secure, and fix problems. That's it. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your game content for anything beyond providing the service to you.

3. Where it lives

Etournal runs on trusted infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: our database and authentication are hosted by Supabase, the application is hosted by Vercel, and transactional email is delivered by Resend. Each processes your data only to provide their service to us.

4. Cookies

Etournal uses only essential cookies: the session cookies that keep you signed in, and a small preference cookie (such as your chosen theme). There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

5. Who can see your content

Your game content is visible to you and to the members of the spaces you share it in (for example, the players in your world), under the visibility rules the game master sets. Administrators can access data when needed to operate the service or investigate abuse. We disclose information to third parties only if the law requires it.

6. Your choices

You can edit your profile details in the app. You can ask us to export or delete your account and its data by emailing support@etournal.com; deletion removes your account data from the live service, with residual copies leaving encrypted backups on their normal rotation schedule.

7. Children

Etournal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a significant way we will give notice in the app or by email. Questions: support@etournal.com. See also the Terms of Service.
